Darren Reid

Darren Reid is a bestselling author from Scotland whose works include Lords or Darkness and Shadow: The Chronicles of the Shadow, the Wizard of Oz prequel The Sword of Oz and the forthcoming epic fantasy adventure The Half Broken Crown.

Darren began his writing career in 2006 with the release of his debut novel, the cult hit Lords of Darkness and Shadow, a bold fusion of fantasy, science fiction, horror and simple human drama. This was followed up by his interactive novel The Sword of Oz, the first in a series of prequels to L. Frank Baum's masterpiece The Wizard of Oz.

In late 2006 Darren launched his free ebook library, a collection of free novels and novellas that readers could download and read for free. Included in the library is a collection of prequels to many of his mainstream novels. In earyl 2007 he expanded the library to include the works of other authors and launched NextGenBooks.com to house these incredible tales.

This summer sees the release of The Half Broken Crown, Reid's highly anticipated new novel. To celebrate the release of this epic new adventure The Broken Kingdoms, an online roleplaying adventure has been launched.
